Mordançage is a unique chemical treatment that can be applied to gelatin silver prints, which are traditional darkroom prints. When done properly, it can result in ethereal, dreamlike images characterized by delicate veils and textured, painterly effects. Through a careful alchemy of chemistry and creativity, each mordançage print becomes a one of a kind fine art print.
I then scan the print so I can create limited edition giclée prints from the original. Sometimes I will make small adjustments or additions to the image in photoshop before saving the final new image.
